This engaged teaching initiative explored small-scale urban interventions as catalysts for integrating self-produced environments into the city. Developed through Asociación Red Urbana Ciudadana, it brought together communities, universities, local governments, and the private sector to test collaborative approaches to public space, urban education, and land policy.

Seed funding supported Parque La Montañita in Petare and the documentary Tramas de una Ciudad: CCS, both led by Ignacio Cardona. These experiences later informed a collaboration between Universidad Simón Bolívar and the Municipality of Sucre that contributed to 30 public spaces in Petare. Through participatory workshops, students and community members learned collaboratively through design, while the documentary communicated the importance of integrating underserved communities into the broader urban fabric.
