This urban design proposal examined the transformations generated by a new express transportation infrastructure connecting Caracas with the coast. Beyond planning for the relocation of affected settlements, the project established strategies for land use, mobility, pedestrian networks, public space, and community facilities to leverage the urban potential created by the new infrastructure.
Given its proximity to El Ávila National Park, landscape and environmental preservation became central components of the proposal. The project connected infrastructure planning with larger-scale strategies for coastal regeneration, integrating mobility, open-space systems, landscape, and tourism within a broader framework for urban transformation.
