Guest lecture examining self-produced urban environments through informality, incremental construction, participatory design, and transdisciplinary practice. Drawing on research in Petare and the development of Sports Park Mesuca, the class explored how community participation, institutional collaboration, and design can address spatial inequality, limited access to public facilities, and the social conditions of self-produced settlements. The lecture also distinguished multidisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and intradisciplinary approaches while connecting community-based design with resilience and global health.
