The landscape design for a new public hospital in Montalbán uses the project as an opportunity to reconnect neighborhoods separated for more than two decades by a fenced vacant block. A network of public and semi-public paths extends through the hospital site, creating new connections, amenities, and spaces for social interaction.
The landscape establishes a strong urban identity through a continuous system of striped ground patterns responding to the hospital and surrounding buildings. Barriers, connectors, and gathering spaces are integrated into this system, transforming the hospital landscape into connective public infrastructure between the institution and the surrounding city.
