Located on a fragile coastal isthmus affected by flooding and changing sea levels, this project explored how public space could contribute to climate adaptation while reconnecting the settlement with its two coastlines. A network of plazas, parks, community facilities, and pedestrian corridors created connections between the town, fishing activities, tourism, and the waterfront.
Rather than treating water exclusively as a threat, the proposal integrated flood management with the social and productive life of the community. The project positioned public space as climate infrastructure, strengthening relationships between everyday life, coastal ecology, and water.
