Located between the town of Chichiriviche and a fragile Caribbean coastal ecosystem, the project transforms a degraded waterfront into a public-space and mobility system mediating between city and sea. The proposal reorganizes the waterfront as an intermodal hub where thousands of visitors transfer from cars to small boats traveling to nearby islands and beaches.
Tropical architecture, shade, and public space structure this transition while expanding activities along the coast. Restaurants, family recreation, and gathering spaces create alternatives to island tourism, reducing pressure on fragile marine environments while providing residents with everyday public spaces. The waterfront becomes both transportation infrastructure and a civic landscape connecting urban life, tourism, and coastal ecology.
